Who We Are
Truth in Love Ministry grew out of the outreach ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church in Nampa, Idaho. Over the years, one of the emphases of our congregation has been to bring the truth of God’s Word in a loving way to members of the LDS church. We live among many Mormons; some of us, at one time, were members of the LDS church; many of us have Mormons who are family members, good friends, or coworkers.
In 2005 TILM became a separate non-profit, 501-3C corporation. Its current board of directors consists of:

TILM presently has three full-time paid staff: Pastor Mark Cares, Dave Malnes, and Danee Haro, as well as, three part-time paid staff: Lori Malnes, Sarah Bauer and Rennie Heuer. They are complemented by a volunteer staff consisting of Bonnie Cares and Gary Priem.
We are people who know the stresses and pressures Mormonism places on people. We know that Mormonism leads people to eternal death, not eternal life. We also know the wonderful difference the knowledge of being freely and fully forgiven in Jesus can make in a person’s life. We know that because it has made that difference in our lives. Now we also want Mormons to experience this wonderful difference. One way we can do that is by helping other Christians witness to Mormons. Another is to witness directly to Mormons through this ministry.
Our particular witnessing approach espoused on this ministry was developed over a number of years. TILM disseminates this Christ-centered approach through the book, Speaking the Truth in Love to Mormons, accompanying videos and tracts, youtube videos,blogs, workshops presented throughout the country,and the material on this site.

Mission Statement
To bring as many as possible to heaven, Truth in Love Ministry proclaims God’s wrath and grace with love and respect to Mormons and equips other Christians to do the same.
