The Ministry

Prayer Ministry

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

We regularly receive prayer requests. Most come from Christian family members or friends of Mormons. These requests come in a variety of forms. For example:

Specific prayers asking the Lord to bless their witness on a particular day at a particular time (often it is because they have invited Mormon missionaries to come to their home)

General prayers asking the Lord to help them and to lead others to reach their Mormon family member

Prayers asking for the strength and courage to witness boldly to a Mormon friend

Prayers from Christian parents asking for emotional support in the crisis of a child lost to Mormonism

Prayers from new Christians asking for relief from the stress, anxiety, and other struggles that often accompany leaving the Mormon church.

Prayers of thanksgiving for a saved soul.

Many of the requests are for prayers of intercession. In such a prayer we approach our Father on the behalf of the person for whom we are praying - much the same as Jesus goes to our Father on our behalf. “I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:20-21

We ask that you keep Truth In Love Ministry, those witnessing to Mormons, and Mormons themselves in your prayers. Pray that the Lord may use our ministry to bring many Mormons into his kingdom. Pray that our ministry will receive sufficient financial support to continue our aggressive outreach.  Pray for the strength of the ministry’s workers. Pray for the success of the witness of Christians wherever they might be. Pray in thanksgiving for your own gift of faith and Christ’s righteousness that clothes you in radiant white. Pray that Mormon’s see that Christ makes the offer of his righteousness to them.

If you would like to submit a prayer request or receive more information on how you can learn about the specific requests of others so that you can remember them in your prayers, feel free to contact us.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
